Who am I?
An attorney who combines non-legal real world personal and business knowledge with her legal expertise to serve her clients. I wear a lot of hats: mom, community volunteer, cancer survivor, writer and speaker. My legal practice is my second career - after a successful business and sales career, I returned to school for a law degree. My legal practice is focused on providing personal service to clients in the areas of estate planning, elder law, probate and trust administration, real estate, and small business matters.

Why me?
There are many attorneys who provide similar services in the same areas, many with more years of experience than I have. So why hire me?
I've Been There: Many people don't prepare a will or estate plan until they are diagnosed with a serious illness. Facing your own mortality is hard, so we put it off until forced to do so. I was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer in 2004, I know the feeling of hearing those words from a doctor. At the time I had small kids, was running my own business to support a family and was facing an unexpected illness. An attorney that understands what you and your family are going through can be reassuring.
Explanations: My clients say I am patient with their questions and am good at explaining legal issues in language they can understand. Before I was a lawyer, I was in sales, I had experience as a writer - I explained things for a living to people who didn't understand them. That experience has helped my in my legal practice and I think it helps my clients understand their issues and their options.
Experience: You can't buy real world, real life experience and combined with our legal expertise, clients get the best of both worlds.
